Job Opportunity: Staff Chemist


Staff Chemist
TechUSA is looking for a Staff Chemist for one of our top environmental clients to work in an international geotechnical and environmental experimental laboratory.
Duties and Responsibilities:
·     Set up and conduct treatability studies;
·     Produce grammatically correct, logical, and factually accurate laboratory reports;
·     Generate relevant study data through data reports, tables, figures, graphs, and photographic documentation.
·     Take personal responsibility for the completion of tasks;
·     Keep the lab safe, clean, and organized by providing ideas and taking personal initiative;
·     Evaluate our methods concerning treatability studies to determine new or alternative methods apply.
Key Technical Skills and Knowledge
The important technical and professional skills and knowledge required to do the job well.
·     Technical writing ability and good report organization;
·     Proficient in Microsoft office (word and excel);
·     Proficient in internet navigation;
·     Computer usage;
·     Fast typing skills; and
·     Familiarity with chemistry and laboratory equipment.

·     Treatability Project or Technical Manager:  A project manager manages people and multiple projects.  This would include writing proposals, establishing budgets, managing resources to complete tasks on time and under budget, writing and reviewing reports, maintaining client satisfaction and strong relationships.  Making decisions concerning the safety, quality, and performance during the project.   This position generally requires 2 to 4 years of staff experience to successfully meet the level of  obligations and responsibilities required.

TechUSA is looking for a Laboratory Manager for one of our top environmental clients to work in an international geotechnical and environmental experimental laboratory.

SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
·         Will be working alongside the company’s owner as the right hand individual for all daily tasks and requirements.
·         Requires the ability to evaluate and analyze some fairly advanced chemistry by using theories and principles learned in advance chemistry courses.
·         Very heavy emphasis on writing technical papers and abstracts for publication/presentation with national and international conferences and publications.
    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
·         A minimum of 1.5 years experience in a lab is required.
·         Must be a creative, mechanically inclined, very detailed oriented person with exceptional ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure
·         Have an assertive personality to go after mental challenges.
·         Be an ambitious person who wants to make a name for themselves in the International Environmental Chemistry industry.

Berry College hiring a Chemistry lab supervisor

LAB SUPERVISOR. The Department of Chemistry at Berry College seeks a laboratory supervisor. This is a 40-hour a week full-time position that runs annually from Aug 1 – May 31. The B.S. degree in Chemistry or related disciplinee is required. Primary responsibilities will be to coordinate and set up chemistry teaching laboratories, to train and supervise student workers, to maintain departmental materials and supplies, and to assist faculty with tasks related to laboratory teaching. Experience in chemical safety and waste management is a plus. We seek an organized individual with excellent communication skills, with the desire to have a positive impact on students, and the ability to work with college students and faculty.
