Biotechnology Career Fair Resume Workshop

Come join us for a resume workshop geared especially towards YOU! Georgia Tech’s own Karen Head has been working with the Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning (CETL) for years and she’s seen it all. She’s here to provide the cold, hard facts of formulating your resume. Look to your left and look to your right, did you know that BOTH these people could benefit from stronger resumes? Flashing a CV, power suit and set of sparkling pearly-whites alone will not suffice. Having a carefully-crafted resume is CRUCIAL to getting the job you deserve and join us for this tailored workshop to learn all the how-to’s.

This event is hosted by the GT Biotechnology Career Fair committee in preparation for the fair coming up September 16th. Make sure to save the date! Also, take a moment to visit our website and upload your resume before the database becomes available to all registered companies!

Be the Change National Day of Service

Sigma Sigma Rho Sorority Inc. , is coordinating Be the Change national day of service in honor of Mahatma Gandhi. We are looking for volunteers to attend service projects around Atlanta on Saturday, September 18th.

Be the Change is an annual day of service coordinated by South Asian Americans Leading Together (SAALT) that inspires and fosters civic engagement through volunteerism and community service. This year’s theme of Be the Change is “Leading a Movement,” which reflects the variety of ways volunteers give back to their community in the spirit of service. SAALT is a 501 (c)(3) national, non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to empowering the South Asian community in the US.

The schedule for the day is the following:

7:00 - 8:00 Registration and Free Breakfast - Kessler Campanile near the Georgia Tech Student Center
8:00 - 8:30 Guest Speaker - Kessler Campanile
8:30 - 9:00 Travel to Service Site
9:00 - 1:00 Volunteer Event - Various locations around Atlanta metropolitan area

Innovation Temp Job for BS Chemist

Requirements:
  • Degree in chemistry, inorganic chemistry preferred. Highly preferred are candidate with degree in chemical or environmental or materials engineering
  • Experience in wet chemist. DO NOT desire chemist with synthesis chemistry experience
  • Experience in searches with scientific databases
  • Proficiency in MS office and statistical softwares like minitab
