Job Description LAB TESTING TECHNICIAN – 160106-IIC. Job Requirements: The technician's job is to understand and meet the customer's requirements for raw materials testing, finished products testing, documentation and evaluation of ink products. Will conduct evaluation, test and documentation of incoming raw materials, research & development and quality control on all incoming and outgoing materials. Quality control on production batches. Organize and file paperwork. Keep and maintain samples for each batch. Raw material evaluation. Assist in R&D and formulations. Responsibilities will include: Safety: * Employee will follow all safety policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook and the compliance standards. Technical: * Review and understand project scope, test objectives, required test method (ISTA, ASTM), equipment procedures pass/fail criteria and timeline. * Preparation of materials for evaluation and testing. * Technician must understand the basis for running requested tests. Identify problem areas and contribute to the problem solving process with lab manager/coordinator and then conduct the proper tests. Communication: * The technician will submit findings in written format, of high quality, in a timely manner, including formal format. * Reports may require a summary section of conclusions and recommendations. * Verbal communications with both internal and external customers may be necessary. * Follow up review as required based on scope and complexity of the testing request. This may require written responses, phone responses or conference calls based on nature of testing. We are an equal opportunity employer.
