Hello Again from Health Connect South!As we rapidly approach Health Connect South 2015 on September 16th we want to be certain that Georgia Tech students are represented in force. We will be highlighting students’ involvement in our Student panel presentations and introducing students to speakers and presenting groups. As we rapidly approach our upcoming conference we want to be certain that Georgia Tech students are represented in force. We will be highlighting students’ involvement in our Student panel presentations and introducing students to speakers and presenting groups. This conference will also be the launch of our online Networking application The Connector which will only be available to attendees, we hope to engage students to connect them with mentors throughout the year.Keynote presentations regarding health challenges and checkpoints will be given by luminaries such as Dr. Tom Frieden, Director of the CDC, Dr. Louis Sullivan, Former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, Gary Reedy, CEO of the American Cancer Society, Ambassador Mary Ann Peters, CEO of the Carter Center, and Dr. Ian Crozier the American Physician famous for his fight against Ebola.Discussions will focus on collaborations in health care, with keynote speakers discussing the collaborative response to the Ebola outbreak and collaborative efforts in the fight against cancer. We will also be featuring three panels focused on students including innovative research and start up companies.We have 2 requests for you:1) We would like 10 of Georgia Tech's top students to ATTEND as the next generation of health leaders.National Vision has sponsored student tickets where we will be able to offer a $75 ticket price to the nominated students. We ask that you forward this e-mail along with the attached invitation to 10-20 students who you believe have the power and determination to better the healthcare industry. Please inform students to register with this National Vision Scholar Registration.2) We would like you to invite any and all students to attend or volunteerWe are always looking for volunteers and are still looking for volunteers on the day of the event. Volunteers may work either the morning or afternoon shift (or both) and will receive free admission to attend the conference.
