Do
you know undergraduate students or faculty members who would be
interested in a summer internship? Applications are now being accepted
for the 2017 Summer Community College Internship (CCI), Science
Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI), Visiting Faculty (VF) and
HBCU/MEI Faculty Summer Research programs!
· The CCI program encourages community college students to enter technical careers relevant to the DOE mission by providing technical training experiences at DOE laboratories.

The SULI program encourages undergraduate students to pursue science,
technology, engineering and mathematics careers by providing research
experiences at DOE laboratories.
·
The VF program seeks to increase the research competitiveness of
faculty members and their students at institutions historically
underrepresented in the research community in order to expand the
workforce in DOE mission areas.
·
The HBCU/MEI program seeks to increase the number of collaborations and
to foster long-term relationships between ORNL research staff and
HBCU/MEI faculty members.
Summer
appointment dates are June 5 – August 11, 2017. The application
deadline for the CCI, SULI and VF programs is 5:00 p.m. EST on January 13, 2017. The application deadline for the HBCU/MEI Faculty Summer Research Program is February 10, 2017.
