This is in the Oilfield chemicals BU and we are looking to add to our technical staff to catapult our efforts. We are looking for someone who understands what the customer needs – from a product, application, and performance perspective. This understanding comes not only from the knowledge and experience they bring with them, but from working collaboratively with our business team and from superior questioning and listening skills with our customers.
The ideal candidate will possess intuitive problem solving skills that can be applied in the laboratory and as a member of the oilfield chemicals team. Additionally the candidate will have a pioneering spirit, and the desire to get the job done right. The demands of this job will be 25% customer-facing and technical service, 65% development focused, and 10% working with our operations group in our manufacturing facilities.
Primary Performance Objectives:
Translate your comprehensive knowledge in the field to strengthen our presence in the drilling and production segments by developing new and improved product offerings.
Expand product offerings into the exploration and transportation segments by exploring opportunities with our customers and identifying the right opportunities for development.
Be an expert in how our products are used across segments, applications, and customers.
Characterize our product line in order to communicate value to our customer base. This characterization data will also be used for customer support and promotional literature.
Position the end use performance of our products through comparative analysis testing.
Deliver exceptional product and technical assistance to customers across the spectrum of oilfield field chemicals applications to solve their toughest formulating challenges. This requires superior problem solving and critical thinking skills to develop out of the box solutions, all the while maintaining a realistic focus on the level of detail needed.
Utilize strong verbal and written communications skills to prepare and deliver product presentations to customers, as well as in the development of technical and marketing literature.
