Job Posting: OPTI Medical

We currently have an opening in our production chemistry group (posting is attached) here at OPTI Medical.  The ideal candidate would have a Bachelors degree with organic synthesis experience or a recent Masters degree in Organic Chemistry.  I thought I would reach out and see if there were any alumni or soon to be graduating chemistry majors that were interested.

If anyone is interested, they can send their resume to me and I will forward it on to the hiring manager.

Thanks!
Nicole

Summer 2015 internship opportunity - Norcross, GA area

This may be of interest to some. It mentions an "engineering" internship. You may need to let them know that in the first several years at GT, you take the same courses as CHBE majors and others.

Analytical Chemistry position - MS level preferred

I am searching for an Analytical Chemist for a company that produces color concentrates for various types of plastics. We seek a degreed chemist (a masters level new graduate would work) with experience in various analytical methods including HPLC, FTIR, DSC and accelerated weathering. Of course, familiarity with all standard instrumentation and color technologies would be appropriate for this job. It is important that this individual have good communications skills as customer contact for sales and customer service purposes will be an important part of the job.

Please have any interested candidates to give me a call and reply with a Word copy of their resume.

King and Prince Seafood - summer internship - Summer 2015

Please be advised that we are always eager to host (summer) interns in our seafood manufacturing facility, particularly in the area of Quality Assurance.  We hosted 3 GT manufacturing interns last summer with great success: 1 is returning this summer while the other 2 graduated.  Additionally, we hosted 2 food science majors from UGA.  We are a BRC certified facility and are constantly working on innovative processes both within our QA/R&D and manufacturing departments.  Our previous students have lived at the College of Coastal Georgia which has worked out very well for all, and we typically pay students $10 per hour.

Please feel free for direct any interested student to my attention.   Thanks,
