ACS International Research Experience for Undergraduates Program (IREU) - Summer 2016
On behalf of the ACS International Research
Experience for Undergraduates Program (IREU), it is my pleasure to
announce that the program is now open!
The IREU program, funded by two separate grants
from the National Science Foundation, enables up to 17 U.S.
undergraduate students to participate in a ten week research internship
in either Italy, Germany, Singapore or the United Kingdom. The IREU
program especially encourages underrepresented minorities in sciences,
first generational university students, and those with limited
international experience to apply.
Please share the attached flyer with students in your chemistry, chemical engineering and material sciences program. Deadline for completed applications is January 25, 2016.
Students can view the application and learn more about the ACS IREU at www.acs.org/ireu. Please forward this message to interested colleagues and potential applicants.
ACS also makes an effort to place top
bachelor-level students from Germany, Italy and Singapore in U.S. labs
(funded by their home institution). If you are interested in receiving
an student researcher from these countries in your lab in 2016, please
contact me.
Sincerely yours,
Christopher M. LaPrade

Quintiles - Seeking Candidates for Pharmaceutical Consulting Positions - BS, MS, PhD - Fall 2015
Can you please share
with BIOL, CHEM, BCHM, and PSYC recent and upcoming BS/MS/PHD graduates?
Interested persons should apply via: http://www.quintiles.com/careers?
Note from alumnus,
James Turnbull: “The interview process does involve case studies. They
will not be pharmaceutical based-in nature, but a level of
understanding of how to address case studies will be very important.
Coming from Georgia Tech students will be well versed in how to
handle/address a problem, but I know I was not formally introduced to
case studies until graduate school.”
