IBM summer research internship program for under-represented minorities -2012

I would like to notify you of the IBM summer research internship program for under-represented minorities. The goal of the program is to encourage students to pursue graduate studies in science and engineering.

The internships are salaried positions, typically 10 weeks long, at IBM Research - Almaden in San Jose, CA. They include the opportunity to work with an IBM mentor. Research areas of the internship are individually chosen so as to optimize the match between the skills and interests of the student, and the ongoing research programs of the laboratory. More information on the internship is available at the application link:

http://www.almaden.ibm.com/almaden/diversity/ .

I would appreciate it if you would distribute the information on this opportunity to your department chairs, faculty, and undergraduate students.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need further information.

Thank you,

Sally Swanson
