Emory Chemistry graduate program - deadline January 3, 2012

As the application deadline for graduate programs nears, we hope you will encourage your students to consider applying to Emory's Chemistry Department. The relatively small size of our research groups fosters strong mentoring relationships between faculty and students as well as a motivating and supportive environment between the graduate students. Our highly personalized and collaborative research environment inspires undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs and faculty to work together to make groundbreaking discoveries that cross disciplines and impact human experience and scientific progress. From novel drugs for fighting disease to the latest environment friendly catalysts for energy production, exploring wonders about the origin of life to paradigm shifts in computational chemistry, Emory researchers consistently make critical contributions to advance the chemical sciences.

Each admitted student receives a full tuition scholarship, 100% health insurance subsidy, and for 2011-12, students are receiving a $24,000 stipend. And the most outstanding applicants are eligible to receive competitive supplementary awards from the Chemistry Department as well as the Laney Graduate School. We hope you’ll take some time to explore our website http://chemistry.emory.edu to learn more about our faculty, facilities, and programs and to encourage your students to do the same.

Students can apply online until January 3rd at https://www.applyweb.com/apply/emorylgs/

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
