Subject: Opportunity for seniors/grad students?

Hi Professor France,
Hope all is well – I reached out earlier, annd I wanted to quickly see if you could share this post-grad career opportunity with your Chemistry seniors/grad students? Georgia Teaching Fellows has extended its next deadline to March 3rd, and we’re looking for top math/science students to help Augusta and Atlanta with its urgent need for highly-effective STEM educators.
Could you pass this opportunity along to your students? I’ve provided a blurb below in case it’s easier.
As a reminder, our Fellows are top graduates and accomplished professionals from all fields who commit to becoming game-changing teachers for the students who need them most (see an example).  Fellows also earn a full-time salary and benefits while working towards a teacher’s certificate and receive continuous, hands-on coaching by outstanding local teachers in order meet our high bar.
Best,
Janet

MSE internship 2014

Subject: Undergraduate Internship Positions

Topics:
Magnetic Nanocomposites, Characterization of Structural, Electrical and Magnetic Properties
Electronic packaging substrates, Interposers and Interconnections

Preferred Undergraduate Level:
Students entering into junior or senior years are encouraged to apply.

Topics:
Magnetic componentsNew classes of magnetic nanomaterials are being developed to address a broad range of applications such as power inductors in voltage regulators, RF inductors and antennas. These applications require key advanced in the synthesis and processing to attain the required magnetic nanostructure for low loss, frequency-stability and high permeability. The work will involve magnetic particle processing and characterizationand also explain the structure-magnetic property correlations to assess their suitability for power and RF electronic modules.

Interposers and substrates: Advances in packaging substrates and device-to-package interconnections are critical for next-generation electronic system miniaturization and performance enhancement. This research on electronic substrate fabrication deals with process development for high-density wiring and through-package vias using fine-pitch lithography, electroless and electroplating, characterization of defects and process optimization.
Candidates should be self-motivated to excel in research, and should have good understanding of research methods dealing with experimental design, material processing, characterization and meticulousdocumentation.

The position will be supported from 4-6 Months.  .
