Research projects for undergraduates in School of Chemistry and Biochemistry

Available Research projects for undergraduates in the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry
There are many opportunities for undergraduates to perform research in one of our School’s research groups. However, it sometimes takes a considerable amount of effort and time to find a project that is a good fit.

Applications for Undergraduate Research Projects for the Spring 2018 semester are now open!   Please go to the website listed below to find a list of available projects.

All projects listed as "OPEN" are available for you to apply to.  If you are interested in a project on the previous webpage please email me the following information at kimberly.schurmeier@chemistry.gatech.edu:
  • a pdf of your Resume/CV
  • a pdf of a small paragraph which is written to the research advisor/mentor on why you would like to work with them on that specific project.
I will attach your transcript to the documents you email me (without editing it) and send all of the information to the research advisor. The research advisor/mentor will then determine who they would like to contact based on the applications.  If you emailed me earlier this semester about applying to a spring research project, and would like to update your resume/paragraph, put it in .pdf form, and/or write to the advisor instead of me, feel free to email it to me again.

Make sure to review the following webpage to know what will be expected of you as an undergraduate researcher in the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry.

You are welcome to apply for as many positions as you would like. Please let me know if you have any questions; I look forward to hearing and working with many of you.

Cheers,
Dr. Schurmeier
