Job for chemists

A chemistry student with good grades is wanted for part-time work in a local laboratory specializing in analytical chemistry, polymer science, metallurgy, and failure analysis. Some knowledge of chemistry, materials, Word and Excel is required.

Job duties will be highly varied and may include some instrumental analysis, sample preparation, data entry and data analysis with Word or Excel, internet research, machine shop work, clean up of the labs or offices, organization, help in web page development, equipment cleaning and repair, general office work, and running errands.


We prefer sophomores and juniors, but will consider any students. Approximately twenty hours per week is expected and the hours will be flexible to accommodate class schedules and exams. The hourly rate will be negotiable, but will range between $8.00 and $10.00 per hour depending on skills, attitude, and energy. Quality workers will receive raises quickly.
