Metrology Lab Intern

The Engineering Department of Heraeus Tenevo LLC, the leading manufacturer of high-tech quartz glass products, has an immediate need for an Intern to work in our Metrology Lab in Buford, GA.

This is a paid internship. The hourly salary is in the range of $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on experience. The term of employment is temporary for an indefinite period. The work schedule may range from standard day shift, to evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with some flexibility. The successful candidate must be available for a minimum of 30 hours, however, if he/she is not going to school this summer, we can provide up to 40 hours of work per week.

The following outlines the qualifications for the position of FT-IR Measurement Intern.

Position Summary:
1. To perform analytical measurements and tests on substrate and first overclad tubes made
by Heraeus Tenevo LLC for fiber optics applications using a micro Fourier Transform
Infrared (FT-IR) Spectroscopy Analysis.
2. Computer entry and analysis of findings.
3. The completeness and accuracy of documentation related to testing is critical.
