HealthCare Summer Intern Program
Objective
The Bayer HealthCare
Summer Intern program is a professional development program designed to provide
college students with career-related and “real world” work experiences. Interns are recruited and selected based on
their career focus, educational standing, academic curriculum, and leadership
potential.
Eligibility/Minimum
Requirements
Students
will be considered from any four or five-year accredited US colleges or
universities. In addition, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a full-time student
- Must be at least 18 years of age at the
start of internship
- Must be a sophomore or higher and be
returning to school full-time the next term
- Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or
higher
Program
Start and End Dates
Program duration: 10 weeks
There are 2 start and end dates to accommodate quarter and
semester system schools:

June 10th and June 24th through August 16th
and August 30th
Compensation
Competitive
pay commensurate with qualifications and position responsibilities.
Interns
will be compensated directly by Bayer and considered summer seasonal
employees.
Relocation/Housing/Travel
Interns are not eligible for relocation or housing
allowances. Travel stipends are not
provided.
Work
Authorization
All
Interns must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States. Bayer will not provide immigration
sponsorship for interns; appropriate work authorization is to be obtained by
the Intern.
Pre-Employment
Evaluations
Students
must successfully complete a medical evaluation, drug screen, and background
check prior to start of employment.
